Genovese Basil

A favoured cultivar of sweet basil, and known for being the prime ingredient used to make the original, traditional genoese pesto. This variety of sweet basil that originated in Italy has vigorous, large leaves which exhibit a sweet, slightly spicy flavour. They are perfectly suited for pesto, caprese salads, and other dishes that require large basil leaves packed with flavour.
